On 14 April we left Dordrecht and travelled by bus to Berlin. In the evening we arrived in Berlin and we made a little walk through the neighborhood. The next day we went in the morning to an old Stasi prison. I found that really interesting. In the afternoon we had a bus tour through the centre of Berlin. In the evening we ate at a restaurant. The second full day we were in Berlin, we went to a museum of Nature in the morning and in the afternoon we had spare time. In the evening we went bowling. The third day we went to an old concentration camp. In the afternoon we had free time again and in the evening we ate at an Italian. Then on 18 April we returned to Dordrecht.

What I really liked about the journey was the Stasi prison. It was really impressive and I found it really interesting how the people worked in that prison and in that time. And of course was the concentration camp also very interesting. The terrible things that happened there and the remnants still have an impact on you when you are there. And with all the spare time we had, we could see and do what we wanted to do.

I would recommend to go to Berlin. There is so much to do in Berlin. Berlin is a city with a big history and there are enough historical monuments you can visit there. It has also enough museums, but most importantly, the centre is so big you can walk there for days. There are also many shops and shopping centers.

It was not like I expected to be. I thought it was just a bigger Amsterdam or some other big city. But besides that it was big, it was also really beautiful and the past is still visual in the city.

At any age I would like to go back to Curacao. Of course you need to travel bij airplane, but I love the airplane. For my is a holiday not a holiday without an airplane. Why I’ve chosen for curacao is because I’ve been there before. Curacao is far from home and sunny, but at the same time close to home because it is a Dutch island. Because I’ve been there before, I know much there and believe me, it’s beautiful. My perfect holiday would take place in the summer break. because it is warm outside in that period and you’ve got enough time to be there. I think I would want to there for 2-3 weeks. And I would travel by Airplane of course. The trip itself is of course really nice, but I think it would be even better with a big group of friends. When I’m in Curacao, one thing I want to do anyway is visit small Curacao. I’ve done that it before, but it is so beautiful and you can swim with wild sea turtles so I want to do it again. Of course when i’m in Curacao I want to visit the capital city Willemstad with his colourful houses. And the most important thing of the holiday; the beautiful white beaches Curacao has. I could sit there for the whole vacation.

It was a cold, dark night. Tom and Mary had been driving to the castle for about five hours. The wind was howling and in the distance they could hear the cry of wolves in the forest. Suddenly the car came to a stop. it had broken down. Tom got out of the car to take a look at the engine and opened the car valve. Mary was waiting in the car. half an hour passed and Mary was wondering why it was taking so long. She got out of the car and noticed that Tom… was gone! She didn’t knew what to do. Her telephone was dead and She wanted to cry. She decided to walk to the nearest house and ask there for help. When she arrived at the house, an old lady opened the door. Mary begged if she could come in. The old lady let her in. After Mary received a blanket and a cup of tea of the old lady, she asked the woman how it was possible that Tom was suddenly gone. Then the old lady began a story about a murderer that was active in that area. Many she that he has died 30 years, but some believe he’s still alive nowadays. She bursted down in tears and ran as soons as possible back to the car. When she was near the car, she saw someone standing by her car. She freezed and the only thing that she could think was that the murderer was there, waiting for her. But when she took a closer look she saw… that it was Tom. Mary ran into his arm and asked angry why he was gone. Tom responded relaxing and said that he had to pee after he had repaired the car. So everything was fine and they drove on to the castle

This is my second blog and in this blog I will write a review. I have chosen to write about the film ”A prayer before dawn”. A prayer before dawn is a fantastic film that was publiced on 19 May 2017. The film is directed by Jean-Stéphane Sauvaire and starring Joe Cole. The genres are Action, Crime, drama and sport.

The film is about a young adult who lives in a poor neighborhood in Thailand. He works as a boxer and as a boxing trainer, but he’s also addicted to drugs and is charged with possession of stolen goods. So he was arrested for that and sent to a prison in Thailand and quickly he spends his days chasing his addiction. He also sees a lot of violence that is typical in Thai prison life. But he wants to fight! he fights in the Muay Thai tournament to earn his freedom.

I think this film is amazing. What I ”like” about the film is that it is a true story. Because of that the film has a bigger impact on my mind and how sad this story really is. the story is based on what Billy Moore has experienced in his life. Billy Moore has been through Everything that happened in the film. The Thai culture can also be seen in the film. This culture is totally different to our Western culture. This other culture makes the film also a lot better. The prison is also different to our Dutch ‘prison’. All in All this film is beautiful

I would totally recommend this film because it is not a long film and totally worth the time. It is even informative. And most important, it is available on Netflix 🙂

Welcome to my first blog. In this blog I will write about question: Do we need to lower the voting age to 16. I think this is a good idea.

Personally I like to think about politics and about my own country and which political party is the best for my country. So why can’t I, a boy that’s 16 years old, vote about something I’m interesed in. I think there are more teenagers that think like that. of course there are also enough students who aren’t interesed at all in politics, but that doesn’t matter. Because they’re not interesed, they will not vote. So this will not have any influence on the country or the politics. When we lower the voting age, the students who are interesed can vote and this will only have a better influence on the politics in the Netherlands. I even believe that there are enough students who know more about the subject than most of the adults. So if they could vote, they would vote what is the best for the land (in their opinion). Some adults just vote random on some party, so if we lower the voting age to 16 there are more serious votes and this will have a better effect on the total of votes.

So because of the interest of students under 18 in politics, I think to lower the age is a great idea. Here is my opinion and I hope you have learned more about this question and I would like to know your opinion about this subject.
